For absent friends

Regardless of the current state, of the current disagreement: there is always a place called home and people called family. It does not matter that today, tempers flare and rage rises or that gazes are cast down and eyes do not meet; us, as we are, will always be stronger together. Today's cross current is momentary and in time there will again be a confluence.

There is no blame, or shame, or grudge, only recognition that we all have a journey and sometimes that journey takes us far and away. Then one day we look around and remember that the longing that is driving us to seek high and low, far and wide is an emptiness that can be filled by what we always had, that which is always waiting: arms that will embrace us regardless of the distance we journeyed.

There is always a place to call home.
Explore the trail that must be blazed but never forget that there is a warm welcome, always, upon returning.
